The Professional Recyclers of PA (PROP), Pennsylvania Waste Industries Association (PWIA), and the Keystone Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) recognized 25 recycling programs as 2005 Waste Watcher Award winners.
The Waste Watcher Program recognizes outstanding recycling, waste reduction, reuse, and composting programs from across the state. Awards are presented yearly to municipalities, counties, private businesses, hospitals and community organizations in the following eight catagories.

Each award winner receives recognition in the form of a certificate, acceptance letter and artwork.
