PROP's Committees

A Committee shall be formed by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.   A committee may also be disbanded by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.  A Committee can be formed for a specific limited purpose and for a specific time period.

The Committees shall have such composition and additional duties as shall be delegated to them by the Board at the time of formation, and as revised by a majority consensus from time to time.   • Certification Committee - Develops new certification classes and updates existing certification classes as needed.
  • Conference Committee - Determines educational content of the Annual Conference based upon member/attendee needs, industry changes and trends.
  • Data Management Committee - Generates 40 statewide recycling reports and develops related workshops and presentations.
  • Fundraising Committee -Identifies and solicits sponsors to help fund the Annual Conference, member programs and services.
  • Legislative Committee - Works with the PROP board and related organizations to review and, as necessary, respond to relevant legislative and regulatory initiatives in the state.
  • Markets Committee - Develops markets-related content for PROP conference, webinars and workshops.
  • Membership Committee - Identify possible new individuals and organizations to invite as members and develop ways to engage them.
  • Mentorship Committee - Identify experienced county recycling coordinators (CRC) willing to mentor new CRC and pair them together. For municipal recycling coordinators (MRC), the committee will coordinate virtual group mentoring/training sessions 3-4 times per year for all who wish to participate.
  • Organics Committee - Develops organics-related content for PROP conference, webinars, and workshops

As a committee member, you will have access to that committee's private message board and file repository.  By accessing the committee section, you are able to  better connect and stay abreast of the latest  developments and initiatives.  Additionally, accessing  the committee page is a convenient, easy-to-navigate way to prepare for calls and meetings.

You will also be able to:

  • Post messages and announcements for the committee members
  • Browse previous discussions to catch up on recent happenings
  • Share files and documents among the committee members
  • Receive automated notifications about new messages and files
Once you volunteer and are added to a committee, to access the committee files and messages:
  1. Log into the member section of the website.
  2. Navigate to your profile.
  3. Under "My Features," click Committees.
  4. View and respond to previous messages and files.
  5. Manage your notification preferences.
  6. View other committee members and their positions.
