Members of the Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania (PROP) collaborated with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to help school leaders manage recycling programs in both fiscally and environmentally sound ways. The study took place July 2020 - June 2023 and the yearly reports can be found below. Our mission is to develop and provide - at no cost to schools - best practices and recommendations for school administrators, school boards, and operations managers, on how best to manage recyclables and organics. We know that some schools already have model programs. Ultimately, we hope to learn your success stories and share them.
